95 Epilog Eine spannende Reise begann Ende 2020, als wir uns auf die Suche nach historischen Dokumenten, Bild- material und Artefakten gemacht haben. Wir waren erstaunt, wie viele Informationen, Dokumente und Bilder sich aus 150 Jahren ERHARD Geschichte er- halten hatten. Die Geschichte ERHARDs hat alle Beteiligten gleichermaßen von Beginn an gepackt und begeistert – von emotionalen und persönlichen Geschichten über die Menschen hinter dem Unter- nehmen bis hin zu Anekdoten über das damalige Arbeiten. Vor allem aber hat uns die enorme Verbun- denheit der Mitarbeiter mit ERHARD beeindruckt. Gerade diese Verbundenheit ist heute immer noch zu spüren und es erfüllt uns mit Stolz, das in diesem Buch transportieren zu können und für alle erlebbar zu machen. Warum haben wir uns ausgerechnet für ein gedruck- tes Jubiläumsbuch entschieden? In einer zunehmend digitalen Welt scheint dies nicht mehr ganz so üblich. Doch die Antwort darauf ist einfach: Die Emotionali- tät einer solch langen und faszinierenden Geschichte kann man am besten durch haptische Erzeugnisse transportieren und ihr so die Bedeutung und Wert- schätzung geben, die sie verdient hat. Am Ende dieser spannenden Reise durch 150 Jahre ERHARD bleibt Dank zu sagen: Danke an alle, die an diesem Buch mitgewirkt haben. Ein besonderer Dank gebührt unseren Zeitzeugen, die mit uns gemeinsam in die Vergangenheit eingetaucht sind und uns Teil haben lassen an ihren einzigartigen Erinnerungen. Ebenso danken wir allen Mitarbeitern, die zum Er- scheinen und Erfolg dieses Buchs beigetragen haben, sei es durch den Beitrag eines Statements, durch Mitwirkung an unseren Fotoshootings, durch Hil- fe bei der Sammlung von historischen Dokumenten oder noch so Vielem mehr. Epilogue An exciting journey began at the end of 2020, when we set out to find historical documents, visual ma- terial and artefacts. We were amazed at how many documents, pictures and pieces of information had been preserved from 150 years of ERHARD history. ERHARD’s history has gripped and inspired everyone involved in equal measure from the very beginning – from emotional and personal stories about the peo- ple behind the company, from anecdotes about work- ing at the time and, above all, from the employees‘ enormous attachment to ERHARD. It is precisely this bond that can still be felt today, and it fills us with pride to be able to convey it in this book so everyone can experience it. Why did we choose a printed anniversary book, of all things? In an increasingly digital world, printed material is no longer very common. But the answer is simple: The emotionality of such a long and fasci- nating story can best be conveyed through things we can actually touch and feel, giving it the meaning and appreciation it deserves. At the end of this exciting journey through 150 years of ERHARD, we just want to say thank you: Thank you to everyone who contributed to this book. We owe a special thanks to our living witnesses who dived into the past with us and let us share their unique memo- ries.
